It’s here! Earlier today, Topps released the design for the base cards of the upcoming 2019 Topps baseball flagship sets which will include Series 1, Series 2, and Update. The preview images feature Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees and Mookie Betts of the Boston Red Sox.

The following is directly from Topps:

With the amazing fun had on National Baseball Card Day, Topps wanted to give collectors another treat this week.

As we get further into working on next year’s baseball products, Topps is excited to release the 2019 Topps Baseball flagship design – featuring a retro look with a modern twist.

Topps is sharing two designs, one vertical and one horizontal card, to give collectors a feel of what’s to come in 2019.

Some notes about the 2019 Topps Baseball design:

– The border colors will change based on the player’s team.
– Parallel colors will be noted on the outside areas, behind the border and in the white areas on the edge of the card.

The images previewed are mock ups and card images could change to the product release next year.
