Week 16 could come and go with a normal slate of NFL games and little to no fanfare. However, it could also end with a great cinderella story that sees little-used Carolina quarterback, Taylor Heinicke, become a name that Panthers fans will remember for years to come.

Heinicke was a standout quarterback at Old Dominion that has never really had a chance to prove his worth in the NFL. Undrafted in 2015, Taylor signed with the Minnesota Vikings and then later was a member of the Patriots and Texans, respectively, before joining the Panthers in April of this year.

While Carolina’s chances of making the playoffs are slim, what better time for everything to fall into place and make Taylor Heinicke the newest young star to replace a star-studded veteran, all the while carrying the Panthers to a playoff berth?

Yes, the odds of this happening are not in Taylor’s favor, but that is what makes this stuff fun.

And from a collector/eBay flipper standpoint, you should consider adding some Heinicke rookie cards to your Watch List for easy, pain-free purchasing just in case this scenario comes to fruition!
